Vermeil is a term used to describe high-quality jewellery that features a thick layer of gold on top of a base metal, Sterling Silver. For jewellery to be classified as vermeil, the gold layer must be at least 2.5 microns thick. However, La Lune takes it a step further by ensuring a remarkable 4-micron thickness, which significantly enhances the longevity and durability of our pieces.

The Initial Pendant is delicately handmade by melting down Recycled, Australian Sterling Silver to a unique and individual shape and then hand stamped with your chosen initial. We use 4 microns thick 18ct Gold Vermeil
